Recognition of credit ratings assigned by rating agencies

A credit rating agency is a legal entity whose core activity is assigning credit ratings to legal entities and/or financial instruments. An eligible rating agency is a rating agency whose credit ratings are recognised as eligible by the National Bank of Serbia for the purpose of calculating capital requirements for credit risk exposure.

The National Bank of Serbia shall recognise credit ratings assigned by rating agencies for the purpose of calculating capital requirements for credit risk exposure under the standardised approach, pursuant to the Decision on Bank Capital Adequacy (“RS Official Gazette”, No 46/2011).
