Performance of RTGS and Clearing System and Interbank Clearing of Foreign Exchange Payments in October 2011

In the course of 21 business days in October 2011, a total of 16.9 mln payments were processed in the NBS RTGS (11.3 mln or 67%) and clearing system (5.6 mln or 33%). The average number of payments was 803,143 per day, of which 537,933 in RTGS and 265,210 in clearing.

The value of turnover in the RTGS system amounted to RSD 2,582 bln, while clearing turnover reached RSD 42.4 bln or 1.6% of the total.

Daily turnover in the RTGS and clearing system averaged RSD 122.9 bln and RSD 2 bln, respectively.

A total of 3,444 payments worth EUR 26,535,653 were processed in the interbank clearing of foreign exchange payments. The system worked smoothly throughout the period under review.

As there was no downtime during 11,460 minutes of production, availability of the NBS RTGS and clearing system was 100%.
