Akan Goldweights Exhibition

The Akan Goldweights exhibition opened on Friday 14 October 2011, at 6 p.m. at the National Bank of Serbia Visitor Centre, 12 Kralja Petra Street. The Ambassador of Ghana to the Republic Serbia, HE Samuel Valis-Akyianu, opened the exhibition  also attended by other representatives of the diplomatic corps, National Bank of Serbia officials and numerous guests from  the cultural and public life of Belgrade. In his welcoming speech the Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Mr. Bojan Marković, emphasised the importance of cultural cooperation and reminded the audience that the NBS will be marking the World's Savings Day this October again. The exhibition was co-organised by the National Bank of Serbia – Visitor Centre and the Museum of African Art. Marija Ličina, curator of the Museum of African Art, curated the exhibition and authored the catalogue.

The exhibition is open for the public every working day 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. until 1 December 2011.
No entry fee is payable.
