TeachersFinancial literacy is the ability to understand finance. More specifically, it refers to a set of skills and knowledge that allow individuals to make informed and effective decisions through their understanding of financial products. This makes financial education of younger generations particularly important, especially in the current environment of heightened financial risks and increasingly complex financial products. In the aftermath of the economic crisis and development of national strategies for the financial education of youth, financial literacy is gaining in importance in terms of school curricula. The NBS organises seminars for primary and secondary school teachers, who are the main mediators in the process of education. The seminars aim to raise understanding of finances and encourage creative potentials necessary for passing on the knowledge about the key economic and financial concepts. The materials and activities intended for primary and secondary school teachers cover all aspects of financial education. By mastering them, the teachers will be able to give to their pupils some new information about the money and its use, as well as about other concepts in the field of economics and finance.
