The NBS reminds citizens that the national DinaCard allows interest-free payment in instalments. Thus, debit DinaCard users are offered the same functionality as in the case of payment by cheque, but via a far more practical, simple and modern payment instrument. This was largely recognised by banks and merchants, which explains great interest in such functionality. Payment in instalments by DinaCard has all the advantages of payment by cheque, but is much faster and easier – there is no queuing at the cash register, time-consuming filling out of the cheque, and no spending limit per cheque, while the number of instalments is determined by the cardholder during the purchase.
The service of interest-free payment in instalments by DinaCard at merchants who, in line with their business policy, offer such option to their clients is currently provided by Banka Poštanska štedionica and Komercijalna banka, while the number of merchants and banks joining in is constantly rising.
Users of debit DinaCards of Banka Poštanska štedionica may use deferred payment in up to six instalments without any interest and fee at more than 3,000 points of sale across Serbia. A similar facility is offered to Komercijalna banka clients. Komercijalna banka offers to the users of its debit DinaCard Classic/Start card the option of interest-free payment in several equal monthly instalments.
