On 15 August 2025, payment institution Dunav-Union d.o.o. Beograd joined the National Bank of Serbia’s Instant Payment System (NBS IPS system), enabling its clients to execute transactions through the NBS IPS system. Namely, Dunav-Union d.o.o. Beograd became an indirect participant – an entity with indirect access to the NBS IPS system. By joining the NBS IPS system, this electronic money institution will facilitate instant payments for its clients through OTP banka Srbija a.d. Novi Sad, which acts as a direct participant in the system.
The NBS IPS system offers one of the most advanced payment methods currently available worldwide. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the system enables individuals and businesses to execute payments easily and swiftly, from any place and at any time – including weekends, non-business days or overnight – with funds credited to the recipient’s account within seconds.
