This year again, from 31 October to 5 November, the NBS marked the World Savings Day by a series of educational activities for children and youth.
With the observance of the epidemiological measures, workshops “Counterfeits” and “Me and My Budget” were held on 2 November at the Economic-Trade School “Knjaz Miloš” and the secondary school “Takovski ustanak” in Gornji Milanovac. School students attending the workshops had an opportunity to get familiar with the history of banknote and coin counterfeiting, security features of the dinar, euro and dollar banknotes, and specific features of counterfeit banknotes. Simulating ten different family situations, the workshop “Me and My Budget” introduced the basic financial concepts and skills needed for monthly family budget planning. Mastering the concepts of spending, borrowing and saving will help students to more rationally manage their money.
As of 1 November, the NBS made available on its website, i.e. the subdomain of the Visitor Centre, video content about the money of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and the money of European countries.
