According to the results of the Ninamedia survey, one-year ahead inflation expectations of the financial sector decreased from 3.6% in June to 3.5% in July, continuing to move within the NBS target band. In the July survey, the financial sector’s medium-term inflation expectations stood at the NBS target midpoint, i.e. 3.0%. Expectations for two years ahead declined from 3.5% in June, while expectations for three years ahead remained unchanged at 3.0%.
According to the results of the August Bloomberg survey, the financial sector’s short-term inflation expectations declined from 4.0% in July to 3.9% in August, which is the average level at which they have stood since the beginning of the year.
Ninamedia survey indicates that the short- and medium-term inflation expectations of the corporate sector remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive month, standing at 5.0% in the July survey. They thus continued to move within the 4.0–5.0% range over the past year.
The short- and medium-term inflation expectations of households stood at 10% in the July survey, unchanged from the previous month.
