Stable growth in card payments and acceptance network in Q3 2025

At end-Q3 2025, there were 7 million users registered for the payment card issuance service in the Republic of Serbia. The number of issued payment cards reached 13.2 million, up by 10.9% y-o-y.

The number of payments in the Serbian acceptance network also increased. In Q3 2025, 211.7 million payment card purchases were made in domestic stores, of which 192.6 million (91%)  using cards issued by domestic payment service providers and 19.1 million (9%) by foreign tourists. Y-o-y, the number of payment card purchases by Serbian nationals and foreign tourists went up by a total of 20.5%.

At end-Q3 2025, Serbian merchants had over 180 thousand POS terminals, up by 17% from end-Q3 2024. At end-September, the number of ATMs, where private individuals can withdraw money and access other services, equalled 3,197, down by 0.4% relative to the same period a year before.
