Increased Number of Banks in DinaCard System

‘With the EFG Eurobank and the expected joining of Kontinental banka of Novi Sad, the number of bank in the Dina Card project grew to 37 banks. At the same time the Delta banka linked its complete POS terminals network to the system, which additionally increased the acceptance network making it the widest network in the country. The DinaCard is currently accepted in 6,584 terminals in 220 cities and towns in Serbia, majority of which are located in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Krusevac, Kraljevo and Kragujevac.

After the Delta Banka joined the network, major retailer chains opened their doors to the DinaCard: the C-Market, Pekabeta, Merkator, Vero, Rodic, Maxi, Si market, Jabuka, Banovo brdo, Centrokoop, Srbijanka, Sintelon, Ateks, Mona, Nikolas, Prosveta, Savremena administracija, Sumadija, Nolit, Jugopetrol, Beopetrol – to name but a few.
It should also be noted that the network covers the principal tourist destinations such as Mt. Kopaonik, Mt. Zlatibor, lake Palic, and all Serbian spas.

The Postal Savings Bank has also conducted initial tests of the system and the first active cards are to be distributed to users by the end of the month. The DinaCard is also expected to be accepted in the Republic of Srpska and Republic of Montenegro. Judging by the stepped-up preparations, the network will be operative already in the course of May 2004.
